DESIGN ASSISTANT

Design Build Adventure + The Long Time Texas

Jack Sanders is seeking a highly organized, motivated, curious, and adaptable Design Assistant to support a growing creative practice and emerging lifestyle brand rooted in art, architecture, baseball, events, and community.

This role is split between:

• Design Build Adventure — a boutique creative/design practice focused on placemaking, fabrication, and unconventional projects.

• The Long Time Texas — a one-of-a-kind event space, sandlot baseball field, and evolving cultural/lifestyle brand based in Austin and Lockhart, Texas.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with creative projects and design research;

• Organizational and administrative support;

• Material and vendor Sourcing;

• Scheduling, communication, and project coordination;

• Assisting with events, installations, and productions;

• Supporting social/content/photo/video projects;

• Helping maintain studios, workspaces, and project materials;

• Running errands; and

• General day-to-day support across multiple creative ventures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;

• Self-motivated with a positive attitude;

• Broad interests and a versatile skill set;

• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively; and

• Ability to draw to scale in CAD or Adobe SketchUp is a plus.

Position Details:

• Starting at approximately 20-30 hours per week;

• Opportunity to grow into a full-time position for the right person; and

• Compensation is negotiable and based on experience.
